Mads Ostberg (Citroën) still occupies the lead in WRC 2 Pro, now ahead of Jan Kopecky (Skoda) who has overtaken his teammate Kalle Rovanperä. The reigning category champion broke a wheel on the last course of the day. Éric Camilli (Citroën) remains at the head of WRC 2 after catching up with his compatriot Pierre-Louis Loubet (Skoda), whom he is one minute ahead of.

Rovanperä lost more than 40s to Ostberg in the super special after breaking a wheel hitting a low wall. The WRC 2 Pro champion could well be taken over by his teammate Kopecky.

Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) concluded the second stage of the Catalonia Rally by taking the scratch in the 2,24km Salou super special. His teammate Dani Sordo was the closest with 9 tenths behind. Ott Tänak (Toyota) followed just over a second behind. Sébastien Ogier (Citroën) finished almost 3 seconds behind, preceding Jari-Matti Latvala (Toyota) and Sébastien Loeb (Hyundai) who lost 2 seconds to the Estonian.

Thierry Neuville has a nice lead of more than 21 seconds over Dani Sordo, but it is Ott Tänak who now occupies 3rd place with 6 tenths ahead of Sébastien Loeb. Jari-Matti Latvala found himself isolated in 5th position ahead of the Fords of Elfyn Evans and Teemu Suninen. Sébastien Ogier remains 8th.

Neuville ends the day with a lead of more than 21 seconds over his teammate Sordo. Tänak climbs to 3rd position for a 6 tenths lead.

Loeb only set the 6th fastest time, more than 3 seconds behind his teammate Neuville. The Alsatian lost his 3rd place to the Toyota driver by 6 tenths.

Sordo managed to gain 2 tenths from Tänak, but the Spaniard was beaten by his teammate Neuville by 9 tenths.

Tänak does as he pleases. The Toyota driver improves the benchmark with a 1″6 lead over Ogier. The Toyota driver could finish in the top three this evening.

Evans ranked 1″1 behind Ogier who keeps the provisional scratch score for a tenth ahead of Latvala.

Suninen ranks 2″5 behind Ogier and ends the day in 7th place.

Ogier completed the course in 2'38″4, the first benchmark for this super special.
