Binotto replaces Arrivabene at Ferrari
CARhebdo echoed this on Monday morning. A few hours later, the indiscretion was made official: Maurizio Arrivabene left his position as boss of Sports Management of the Team Ferrari with immediate effect.
The 61-year-old Italian gives way to his compatriot Mattia Binotto, officially inducted as Team Principal. The latter previously held the rank of Technical Director with the Reds.
“After four years of commitment and dedication, Maurizio Arrivabene leaves the team, confirms Ferrari in a press release released Monday January 7 in the evening. The decision was taken with the agreement of the top of the hierarchy following long conversations concerning the personal interests of Maurizio in the long term, as well as those of the team.
Ferrari would like to thank Maurizio for his valuable contribution to the team's competitiveness over the past three years, and wish him the best for his future responsibilities. »
The press release finally indicates that the charges of the technical section of the Scuderia remain allocated to Mattia Binotto. Enough to give a lot of work in perspective to improve the rank of vice-champion among the Manufacturers for the 49-year-old engineer!
