The penultimate special stage of the 2020 Rally Estonia caused some cold sweats for the WRC competitors. The leader of the event Ott Tänak (Hyundai) narrowly missed the impact with a tree while veering wide while Esapekka Lappi (Ford) gave up his 6th place to his teammate Teemu Suninen following a head-to-head. -tail.
The other drivers suffered no problems. Kalle Rovanperä (Toyota) confirms that he is the best performer in the Estonian round with a new scratch time. Sébastien Ogier (Toyota) attacks but does not gain enough ground from Craig Breen (Hyundai) to steal 2nd position.

Ott Tänak finished with a damaged rear bumper. He sets the 3rd time, 4″2 behind Kalle Rovanperä. He maintains a lead of 13″ in the general classification over Craig Breen.
Craig Breen finished with the 2nd provisional time, 4″7 behind Kalle Rovanperä but above all, he only lost 2″ on Sébastien Ogier. The Irishman remains 11″7 ahead of the Frenchman in the general classification.
Ott Tänak narrowly missed hitting a tree! The Estonian continued on his way as if nothing had happened, but it was right.
Best time and quite by Kalle Rovanperä for 7″7 over Elfyn Evans.
Esapekka Lappi exchanges his 6th place with Teemu Suninen in the general! The first named loses 13″6 in this special, and is now in 7th place, 9″9 behind Teemu Suninen.
With only 3″ ahead of Teemu Suninen, Esapekka Lappi should lose his 6th place in the general classification after this pirouette.
Spin at high speed for Esapekka Lappi! The Finn gets back on the right track and leaves after this scare. He didn't touch anything!
