Rally Finland 2021

08h

Just to get in shape, the organizers of the 2021 Rally Finland had planned a short but quick special this Sunday, October 3 in the morning. The least we can say is that Ott Tänak (Hyundai) and Elfyn Evans (Toyota) did not miss their wake-up call.

The duelists were held in close proximity (0”4 in favor of the Estonian) while the rest of the peloton was left behind. Even if he sets the scratch time, the Hyundai Motorsport driver does not gain enough ground on the Welshman. The gap is still around 9''.

Behind, Kalle Rovanperä (Toyota) started again following his accident the day before, but the Finn does not want to attack too much. He is indeed suffering from back pain and the Yaris WRC is not back in optimal condition.

As for Sébastien Ogier (Toyota), his one-minute penalty for an unfastened helmet did not cause him to lose any place in the general classification.
