The final stage of the Rally Finland will begin this Sunday, July 30 from 8:25 a.m. with two special stages covered twice on the program.

Jari Huttunen (Skoda) remains at the top of WRC 2, now having a 2-minute lead over Quentin Gilbert (Skoda). Tom Cave (Hyundai) completes the new top three in the category. The Finn remains threatened by Éric Camilli (Ford R5) in the fight for 11th place in the general classification.

Elfyn Evans (Ford) scored his first scratch at the Rally Finland by setting a time of 10'42''3 in the 22,68km of Päijälä. The Dmack driver beat Ott Tänak (Ford) by 6 tenths and gained almost 2 seconds from Teemu Suninen (Ford). Juho Hänninen, on the other hand, dropped more than 5s to the Welshman.

Kris Meeke (Citroën) lost almost a minute after suffering from a delaminated tire.

Esapekka Lappi maintains a lead of 49 seconds over Teemu Suninen at the end of the second stage of the Rally Finland. Juho Hänninen remains 3rd, 4 seconds behind the M-Sport driver but is only one second ahead of Elfyn Evans. Craig Breen (Citroën) follows in 5th place ahead of Thierry Neuville (Hyundai). Ott Tänak (Ford) took advantage of the problems of Kris Meeke (Citroën) to take 7th place against the Northern Irishman. Dani Sordo (Hyundai) and Mads Ostberg (Ford) complete the top ten.

Lappi sets the 7th time, 7″2 behind Evans. The Toyota driver still has a 49s lead over Suninen. “I feel pretty good even though I'm disappointed for Jari-Matti, but it's not my fault his car failed him. I have to concentrate to keep my head cool. No problem sleeping, the pressure doesn't affect me. »

Suninen finished 1″9 behind Evans, setting the 3rd provisional time, but he gained 3″2 from Hänninen who was now 4″3 behind the M-Sport driver in 2nd place.

Breen sets the 5th provisional time, 6”7 behind Evans. The Dmack driver now has a lead of more than 22 seconds over the Irishman in the general classification.

Hänninen ranks 5″2 behind Evans, setting the 4th provisional time. The Dmack driver is only 1”3 behind the Finn who seems to have lost time in the last sector.

Ostberg sets the 4th provisional time, 9″4 behind the benchmark. The Norwegian is still in 10th place.

Evans took the provisional scratch with a time of 10'42″3, 6 tenths better than Evans. “The special went well. We have to do our best, but the others are doing well. » The Dmack driver remains in the fight for 2nd place against Suninen and Hänninen.
