Daniel Ricciardo wins the Malaysian Grand Prix ahead of Max Verstappen who gives Red Bull a double. Nico Rosberg (Mercedes) completes the podium and significantly increases his lead in the Championship following the retirement of his teammate Lewis Hamiton.
Kimi Räikkönen (Ferrari) and Valtteri Bottas (Williams) complete the top five ahead of Sergio Pérez (Force India), Fernando Alonso (McLaren), Nico Hülkenberg (Force India) and Jenson Button (McLaren). Jolyon Palmer (Renault) completes the top ten and takes his first point in F1. Sebastian Vettel (Ferrari) retired following contact at the start of the race.
Räikkönen ranks 4th ahead of Bottas who carried out an effective one-stop strategy. Pérez is 6th ahead of Alonso, Hülkenberg and Button. Palmer takes his first point in F1.
Ricciardo takes his first victory of the season, the 4th of his career, by winning the Malaysian GP. Red Bull secures the double with Verstappen. Rosberg completes the podium with a sufficient lead over Räikkönen to maintain his 3rd place for a difference of 3 seconds.

T55 – Verstappen is more than 3 seconds behind Ricciardo. The match seems to be over between the Red Bull drivers. The Austrian team should take a clear advantage over Ferrari who are trailing by 46 points with five races remaining in the season.
T55 – Red Bull is about to celebrate its first double since 2013. Ricciardo starts the penultimate lap of the GP.
Mercedes should not be able to win the Manufacturers' title at Sepang. Red Bull had to score 8 points more than the German brand to delay the deadline.
T53 – Kvyat is in complete agony with his brakes. The Toro Rosso driver is 14th.
T53 – Ricciardo is only 4 laps away from his first victory in 2016. Verstappen is unable to catch up with his teammate.
If the positions remain as they are, Rosberg would have a lead of 23 points over Hamilton while he only had 8 before the Malaysian GP.
The stewards will investigate Gutiérrez's accident (loss of wheel) after the race.
T50 – Verstappen fails to come within a second of Ricciardo, but the battle remains tense between the Red Bull drivers.
T49 – Verstappen came back to 1″4 behind Ricciardo. The Dutchman is looking to enter the DRS zone. Räikkönen took some time back from Rosberg in the fight for 3rd place.
T48 – Nasr returned to the pits to retire. The Sauber driver is the 6th competitor to throw in the towel.
T48 – Wehrlein regained the advantage over his teammate Ocon by overtaking him in the first corner with his fresher tires.
T47 – Ocon now occupies 16th place ahead of his teammate Wehrlein with ten laps to go.
T46 – Ricciardo maintains a lead of 1″6 over Verstappen. Rosberg almost has a sufficient lead over Räikkönen to maintain his 3rd place despite his penalty.
T45 – Bottas is in 5th position remaining on his 2nd stint. The Williams driver is ahead of Pérez, Alonso, Hülkenberg, Button and Palmer.
