The MotoGP current ones have proven in 2023 that they are faster than ever, since out of the twenty circuits registered on the calendar during the season which has just ended, the lap records of fifteen of them have fallen.

Marc Marquez (Repsol Honda) set the tone in the first round of the year in Portugal, setting a new benchmark of 1:37.226 in Portimao. The year ended in the same way during the Valencia GP, where Maverick Viñales (Aprilia Racing) set the Ricardo Tormo circuit record in 1:28.931.

These riders are also the only non-Ducati to have improved the best time on one of the tracks on the calendar, since only Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo – 4), Jorge Martín (Prima Pramac – 4), Marco Bezzecchi (VR46 – 3) and Luca Marini (VR46 – 2) participated in lowering the time of the other circuits where MotoGP has passed, which represents a total of thirteen achievements to be put in the name of the Bologna manufacturer.

The five circuits whose MotoGP record has not changed at the end of this last championship are Jérez (Spain), Le Mans (France), Termas de Río Hondo (Argentina), Sachsenring (Germany) and Silverstone (Great Britain).
