Le MotoGP returns to Europe to compete in a long series of meetings, the first of which takes place in Jerez. The Spanish Grand Prix will see eleven of the twenty-two drivers entered perform at home, which promises to liven up the debates. At the end of Qualifying, Marc Marquez won the 93rd pole of his career ahead of Marco Bezzecchi and Jorge Martín.
Sprint:
- Marc Marquez let himself be surprised by his competitors at the start. Thus, Brad Binder led the dance at the first corner, ahead of Jorge Martín. The No. 93 had a difficult first lap in third position, and found himself battling with his brother and teammate, Alex.
- The first round was also marked by the falls of Aleix Espargaro and Jack Miller, who saw their race end prematurely. Fabio Di Giannantonio would imitate them later.

- The weekend's pole sitter then forced an overtake on Brad Binder, before he returned the favor. The South African, however, makes a mistake and takes the Gresini driver off the ground, giving up a few positions. Alex Marquez takes advantage of this maneuver to avenge his brother and get the best of both men.
- While trying to come back, Binder undertakes another aggressive maneuver on Francesco Bagnaia but misses again and throws the reigning world champion from his bike. No. 1 returned to his box with his helmet on, revealing all the anger he felt.

- At mid-race, Jorge Martín was in the lead ahead of Marc Marquez, and was already heading towards victory. Alex Marquez and Brad Binder are not far behind, however, while Enea Bastianini and Pedro Acosta took advantage of the events to return to fifth and sixth positions.
- This was without counting on the lightning comeback of Marc Marquez in the second half of the event. Shortly before the start of the eighth lap, the Spaniard attacked the leader and took without finding any resistance.
- As if this Sprint race had not already been full of surprises, a patch of humidity on the track at turn 5 will get the better of most of the leading men. Thus Alex Marquez, Brad Binder and Enea Bastianini fell at the same time.
- Later, the leader, Marc Marquez will pay the price. These incidents will completely shake up the ranking and three laps before the finish, Jorge Martin is leader ahead of Pedro Acosta and… fabio quartararo.
- On the last lap, Jorge Martin and Pedro Acosta mastered their subject, while Dani Pedrosa, also back in the battle, began to attack the No. 20 Yamaha.
- Preparing its attack throughout the final loop, the Wildcard KTM tries, but fails to pass. Quartararo defends himself and signs his first top-3 of the season.
- Also remaining cautious, the other Frenchman, Johann Zarco, took advantage of the misfortunes of their competitors to move up the hierarchy. As he was preparing to take a good fifth position, the Cannes driver fell in the last corner, losing all the benefit of his rise to the front.
