Formula e? The Berlin ePrix will be contested in the city center

After welcoming the Formula e at Tempelhof Airport, Germany has decided to move the Berlin ePrix to the streets of its capital. Formula e organizers have unveiled the new 2,03 km, 11-turn track which will be built around Strausberger Platz and Alexanderplatz. The pit lane will be installed in Allée Karl Marx.

“This new venue for the Berlin ePrix fits perfectly with expectations. Germany is a country where the automobile industry plays a very important role. Future mobility is a key issue here”, commented Jean Todt, president of the FIA.

The Berlin ePrix will be contested on May 21 and will constitute the penultimate event of the season.
