Misano 1 – Qualifying: First pole for Evans, first row for Vergne

• Mitch Evans at the relaunch! The New Zealander, who left Tokyo frustrated by his 15th place, set the record straight by taking pole position for the Misano 1 E-Prix (Italy). The Jaguar driver takes all three points from pole, a first this season for the Kiwi.
• The Jaguar driver beat Jean-Éric Vergne in the final. The Frenchman, who had dominated all the sessions until then, gave in in the last decisive duel. The DS Penske driver could have become the only pole position record holder in Formula E (16 pole positions at present, tied with Sébastien Buemi), but he will still have to wait…

• The two other French people on the grid were eliminated in the group phase: Sacha Fenestraz (Nissan) and Norman Nato (Andretti) will start one behind the other this Saturday afternoon, respectively in 12th and 13th rank.
• Championship leader Pascal Wehrlein (Porsche) will start from the 2nd row, in 3rd place, after losing his duel in the semi-final against Jean-Éric Vergne. His runner-up, Nick Cassidy (Jaguar), failed to reach the final phase in his Group B, and will start 9th.
• The big loser of these qualifications is Jake Dennis! The reigning world champion, fourth in the championship, was eliminated in the group phase with only the 10th time in Group B! The Andretti driver – like his teammate – saw his first time canceled due to a technical infraction. The Briton will start 19th in the race.
