The transfer market comes alive in IndyCar ! A few days after the announcement of the extension of Pato O'Ward at Arrow McLaren SP, it's today Kyle Kirkwood who officially revealed what his future will hold. The 2021 Indy Lights champion, rookie for this IndyCar season, will join Andretti Autosport in 2023 and take the wheel of the No. 27 AutoNation Honda. The current driver of the No. 27, Alexander Red, will therefore leave the team with which he won the hundredth edition of the Indianapolis 500, in 2016, for his rookie year. This season, Kyle Kirkwood is riding with AJ Foyt's #14. His best result was a 10th place at the Long Beach GP.

For Kirkwood, this transfer to Andretti Autosport is a return to his roots, because it is with the legendary American team that he won the Indy Lights title in 2021. “ I am extremely excited to return to Andretti Autosport next year to represent AutoNation and Honda.
