Bahrain 8H – FP2: The #8 Toyota continues its momentum

After a first session dominated by Toyota nº8, the second Free Practice session for the 8 Hours of Bahrain took place this Friday, November 6 at 9 a.m. local time. Like the day before, it is the team composed by Sébastien Buemi, Kazuki Nakajima et Brendon Hartley who set the best time in 1:47.673. The Toyota nº7 (Conway, Kobayashi, López) and theAlpine A480 – Gibson nº36 (Black, Stone, Vaxivière) completed the podium at 0.527 and 1.383 respectively.

In LM P2, it was once again a Pro-Am team that rose to the top of the standings with Racing Team Nederland (van Eerd, van der Garde, van Uitert) with a 1:50.513, ahead of United Autosports USA (Hanson, Scherer, Albuquerque) by 0.046 and Team WRT (Frijns, Habsburg, Milesi) by 0.677.

In the LMGTE Pro, AF Corse returned to the forefront with the Ferrari 488 GTE EVO nº52 (Serra, Molina). The Spanish-Brazilian duo completed the session with a time of 1:57.569, ahead of the Porsche 911 RSR – 19 nº 91 (Bruni, Lietz, Makowiecki) at 0.415 and nº92 (Estre, Jani, Christensen) at 0.534.

Finally, in LMGTE Am, the reference time was set by the #77 Dempsey – Proton Racing (Ried, Evans, Campbell) in 1:58.489. The #47 Cetilar Racing Ferrari (Lacorte, Sernagiotto, Fuoco) and #60 Iron Lynx (Schiavoni, Piccini, Cressoni) completed the category podium at 0.227 and 0.264.
