Porsche proved that its 90° turbo four-cylinder was up to the task of winning the greatest titles in the WEC, with the coronation in LMP1 and a 17th victory in the 24 Hours of Le Mans dropped last year.
The Stuttgart manufacturer had to review its copy for the 2016 season, the regulations of the World ChampionshipEndurance being even stricter with gasoline consumption. The German engine block will lose 8% gasoline. The energy recovery system will still allow the LMP1 to develop a power of 900 hp.
