While the association between Cadillac and Chip Ganassi Racing will end at the end of the 2024 season, the American manufacturer has found its new partner for the WEC.

The announced and imminent divorce between the Detroit (Michigan) manufacturer and the Indianapolis team has opened the door to various speculations for the 2025 season. If Action Express Racing should recover the entry IMSA, another formation should take care of it for the World Championship ofEndurance of the FIA.

Several LM P2 teams were announced in the ranks, including United Autosports, TF Sport and Vector Sport, but another contender suddenly emerged in the corridors of the 6 Hours of Imola, second round of the 2024 FIA WEC season.

According to our information, it is JOTA which should be in charge of operating the two V-Series.R in 2025. The American commitment should in fact be doubled, which should be the case for each manufacturer during the next season.

Asked about this by AUTOhebdo, Laura Wontrop Klauser, head of the racing program at General Motors, did not wish to comment on this subject, simply stating that the new partner will be disclosed in due course.

« We are constantly evaluating what we want to do with the program, which sometimes results in changes, sometimes in continuing what we are doing, she also told us about the end of the collaboration with the CGR. In this case, this resulted in a change. »

Such a change is a real surprise, since the association between Hertz Team JOTA and since last season seems to work perfectly with a podium at the 1 km of Qatar (812nd) as a major result.

By turning to Cadillac, Sam Hignett's team would however free itself from this status of customer team...
