Toyota in working order at Test Day

Toyota Gazoo Racing placed its three TS050 Hybrids at the forefront on the Test Day of the 85th edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Kamui Kobayashi beat last year's pole achieved by Neel Jani on the Porsche 919 Hybrid by improving the time by 1”6 with a lap of 3’18”132 at the wheel of the #7. Davidson's #8 sister car-Buemi-Nakajima follows one second ahead of No. 9 Stone-Kunimoto-Lopez.

The Porsche 919 Hybrids remained discreet with the No. 2 of Bernhard-Bamber-Hartley-Lieb clocking in at more than 3 seconds from the benchmark, preceding the No. 1 of Tandy-Lieb-Lotterer-Jani.

The Oreca 07s remain at the head of LMP2

Most of the Oreca 07s finished at the front in LMP2. Nelson Panciatici set the best time in the category with a lap completed in 3'28''146 at the wheel of theAlpine No. 35. The No. 24 CEFC Manor TRS Racing of Vergne-Graves-Hirschi was the closest, almost 7 tenths behind. It was the Ligier JS P217 of United Autosports entrusted to Owen-De Sadeleer-Albuquerque which was the closest with more than 3 seconds behind.

Corvette kept the lead in GTE Pro, but it was the No. 7 C67R of Gavin-Milner-Fässler which finished in first place in the category with a time of 3'54''701, ahead of the Porsche 3 by 911 tenths. RSR. L'Aston Martin #95 of Thiim-Sorensen-Stanaway completes the top five behind the second Corvette of Magnussen-Garcia-Taylor. The No. 98 Vantage of Lamy-Dalla Lana-Lauda finished first in GTE Am with a time of 3'58''250.
