This is an unexpected consequence of the presence of Katherine Legge at the Indy 500. The day after the announcement from the Dale Coyne Racing team concerning the British driver, Gradient Racing indicated that she would not finish the season.IMSA in which she was nevertheless engaged.

The team which operates the white and green No. 66 Acura NSX has specified that the Englishwoman will be replaced by Stevan McAleer alongside Sheena Monk from the Long Beach Grand Prix, scheduled for Saturday April 20, i.e. -say the day before the roundIndyCar which will also take place on the urban circuit on Sunday. The Scot is no stranger to Gradient, since he was present at the 24 Hours of Daytona in January just like Tatiana Calderón, scheduled for the rounds ofEndurance Cup

Legge in IndyCar at Long Beach?

Will Katherine Legge's commitment to Dale Coyne Racing go further than the Indy 500? The timing of the two communications raises questions, because the No. 51 Dallara-Honda in which it was announced for the American classic is officially free for this second meeting of the season. Colin Braun competed in the opening race of the 2024 championship in St. Petersburg (March 10) as well as the Thermal Club exhibition on March 24 and if the former Meyer Shank Racing driver in IMSA “ hoping to compete in further races with Dale Coyne Racing later this year », Nothing has yet been communicated on this subject.

Which of Katherine Legge or Colin Braun will therefore settle in this car in California ? Unless the Illinois team pulls a third name out of its hat...
