Rebellion Racing even stronger in 2013?

Rebellion Racing had a superb season in WEC by winning the LMP1 Trophy for private teams after winning six of the eight events contested, including the 24 Hours of Le Mans. But the lack of visibility vis-à-vis the manufacturers Audi and Toyota pushed the Swiss team to head towards the ALMS where it can aim for overall victory. After winning at Petit Le Mans, the Swiss team will enter a Lola B12/60 Toyota full-time in the American discipline, with a second LMP1 as reinforcement for the 12 Hours of Sebring. Mathias Beche has also been confirmed by Rebellion. The Swiss distinguished himself with TDS Racing by winning theELMS this season and by taking second place in the category at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

The objectives will therefore be revised upwards for next year, Rebellion Racing being able this time to secure a title in the ALMS peloton. However, the WEC is not ruled out and the Swiss team's final program will soon be revealed. “2012 was the most demanding but also the most successful season in the history of Rebellion Racing”, underlines Bart Hayden, the Team Manager of Rebellion Racing. “We want to continue our progress in 2013 by building on the results obtained with the objective of achieving overall victories. The visibility brought by such successes is more in line with the desires of our partners. The WEC is a World Championship and we would also like to continue participating in it. We will do our best to complete a program in parallel with our presence in ALMS. We are a team that has grown in the spirit of Le Mans since our involvement in GT in the early 2000s and we want to continue racing in disciplines that mix the best professional prototypes and GT teams. I would be particularly pleased if we manage to have cars entered in the ALMS and WEC in 2013.”
