Obviously Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) is making headlines at the start of the Miami Grand Prix (Florida). On Friday, it was her multiple jewelry and piercings that were the subject of criticism from the FIA, which has ratified in its sporting regulations the non-wearing of jewelry in the cockpit.

The seven-time world champion did not appreciate this ban, by voluntarily presenting himself weighed down with three watches and eight rings at a press conference in Florida. The Briton then had to respond to the criticisms made by Helmut Marko, the head of the young pilots sector at Red Bull.

Indeed, the former Austrian driver had explained a few days earlier that Lewis Hamilton “should have stopped last year”, that is to say after losing the battle against his foal Max Verstappen in Abu Dhabi.

The 37-year-old pilot reacted without flinching on this subject. “I don't listen to these stupid comments to be honest. It's interesting to see that there are a lot of disrespectful comments lately Me, I just keep my head in the handlebars.

I know who I am. I know what I'm doing. I'm going through a difficult time. We didn't get off to a good start, but we remain warriors. And if you don't know that I'm like that, then you don't know me and that's okay. »

In other words, Helmut Marko is asked to look elsewhere.
