Dale Earnhardt Jr (Hendrick Motorsports) and Kyle Busch (Joe Gibbs Racing) won the two Can-Am Duels, these qualifying races for the Daytona 500 (Florida) contested this weekend. This is the second consecutive time that the driver of the No. 88 Chevrolet has won his Duel. The son of the seven-time champion of the same name beat Joey Logano (Team Penske) and Ryan Blaney (Wood Brothers Racing).

In the second Duel, the reigning champion won ahead of Jamie McMurray (Chip Ganassi Racing) and Kurt Busch (Stewart-Haas Racing). The race ended with an accident involving Matt Kenseth (Joe Gibbs Racing) and Jimmie Johnson (Hendrick Motorsports).
