Comtoyou Racing is arriving in force this season, in the GT World Challenge. A few days before the start of the 2024 championship, at the Paul-Ricard circuit, the Belgian team has confirmed its crews, which will operate no less than four Aston Martin Vantage GT3. These four crews will be divided into three different classes.

As announced at the end of February, Comtoyou Racing will field a “Dream Team” on the #3 Aston Martin Vantage GT007. World Champions in WEC in GTE Pro with Aston Martin, Danes Nicki Thiim and Marco Sørensen will team up with new official driver Mattia Drudi, champion last year in the GT World Challenge Europe Sprint Cup.

Two cars will be entered in the Silver Cup. On the first, which will wear the No. 12, we will find Nicolas Baert, Esteban Muth and Sebastian O'Gaard, while the No. 21 will be driven by Sam Dejonghe, Matisse Lismont – who will make his debut in GT3 – and Charles Clark . Finally, Comtoyou Racing will make its Bronze Cup debut with John de Wilde, Job Van Uitert and Kobe Pauwels aboard the fourth Aston Martin.

“We are very happy to field four Aston Martin Vantage GT3s in the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe,” smiles Jean-Michel Baert, Team Principal of Comtoyou Racing. “It’s the best championship for GT3s. The level is fantastic, the races are very competitive and we know it is a huge challenge. But that’s also what motivates us! After our good debut in GT3 last year, we want to continue this momentum with one car entered in Pro, two in Silver Cup and one in Bronze Cup. »

“We worked a lot to finalize our crews because we wanted to bring together four competitive trios in their class, adds François Verbist, Team Manager of Comtoyou Racing. But I'm proud of it! There is a mix of professionals and young, long-toothed drivers. In addition, we will be entering the Bronze Cup for the first time. To be honest, we would have liked to have had a little more preparation time, but the Circuit Paul Ricard is a great place to kick off our season and give our drivers confidence. »
