SRO unveils its calendars, we know the date of the 24 Spa 2024 Hours

It was Stéphane Ratel who ignited the powder during his traditional pre-race press conference. Next year, the 24 Hours of Spa will take place practically on the same date (not desired by the organizer but imposed by the Belgian F1 Grand Prix), i.e. from June 27 to 30. We quickly deduced that the Formula 1 will return to the Ardennes circuit in twelve months, precisely during the last weekend of July as has been the case since this year.

«Confirmation of the 2024 Belgian GP should be made in the coming hours, » a journalist then confided to us from the Red Bull ring.

During his high mass on Saturday, the Grand Priest of the GT gave other indications for the next season. So, two years after the WEC, Grand Touring cars will run on 100% renewable fuel (from agricultural and forestry waste) developed by TotalEnergies.

We also learned that the 24 Hours of Nürburgring will include the Intercontinental GT Challenge championship (see full calendar below). The Motorsport-style beer fair with Teutonic flavors will take place on June 1 and 2, 2024.

As for the 24 Hours of Spa which will celebrate its centenary, it will be preceded by the SRO Speed Week. This return to the Ardennes, a week before the double round of the clock, will host, in particular, the French GT4 championship.

Finally, Stéphane Ratel specified that next year a final of the GT World Challenge Europe will take place on the Jeddah circuit (Saudi Arabia) during a 1000 km race.
