The Manthey-Racing team is tackling Mount Panorama again for the 12 Bathurst 2024 Hours (February 15-17), and did not do things by halves. Two Porsche 911 GT3 R will be lined up in this event marking the launch of the Intercontinental GT Challenge season (IGTC).

No. 912, in the now well-known “Grello” colors (combination of green and yellow), will be entrusted to the recent winner of the 24 Hours of Daytona, Matt Campbell, with the double winner of the 24 Hours of Spa Laurens Vanthoor and the 2022 ADAC GT Masters runner-up Ayhancan Güven.

The other Porsche, entered in the Pro-Am class (#912 being in Pro), is reserved for Alessio Picariello, Harry King and Yasser Shahin.

Nicolas Raeder, Managing Director of Manthey Racing GmbH, wants to do better than the podium won in Australia in 2023: “After a very successful start to the sporting year at Bathurst in 2023, we are delighted to return to the Mount Panorama circuit in 2024. It is obvious that we are not done working after our second place last year and we hope to finish as high as possible on the podium this time with the two Porsches we field. It will not be an easy task on this demanding circuit with strong competition, but thanks to our well-drilled team and the excellent drivers of the two 911s, we believe we have a good chance of taking our first victory at Bathurst.

“We are delighted with the return of Manthey Racing to Australia, with two cars entered in the Bathurst 12 Hours, continues Alexandre Gibot, Managing Director of Porsche Motorsport Asia Pacific Ltd. The "Grello" is one of the favorite cars of fans around the world and we are sure that it will be welcome on the starting grid, just like its sister "The Bend Manthey EMA" We are very happy to have four Porsche competitive for this incredible event – Bathurst is always a highlight of the calendar and I can't wait to see how the Porsche quartet perform. »
