Nascar – Carl Edwards wins the Coca Cola 600

Carl Edwards took his first victory wearing the colors of Joe Gibbs Racing. The pilot of the Toyota n°19 won the Coca Cola 600 in Charlotte (North Carolina) benefiting from a good strategy, unlike several of the contenders for success who had to stop to refuel.

The 2011 runner-up was not worried in the final laps as he took the checkered flag with a lead of more than 4 seconds over Greg Biffle (Roush Fenway Racing). Dale Earnhardt Jr (Hendrick) completes the top three ahead of Matt Kenseth (Joe Gibbs Racing) and Martin Truex Jr (Furniture Row Racing).
