  • We had to take out the microscope to determine the winner of the second round of the season. NASCAR on the Atlanta side. In a race that lasted until the end of the night, Daniel Suárez (Trackhouse Racing), Ryan Blaney (Penske) and Kyle Busch (Richard Childress Racing) put on a great show for the spectators at Atlanta Motor Speedway.
  • A week after an eventful finish at the Daytona 500 where William Byron (Hendrick Motorsports) won for the first time, it was Mexican Daniel Suárez who won in Georgia. Despite an accident from the 2e lap (out of 260), the native of Monterrey managed to climb back up to place himself among the contenders for victory. And at the end of an event which was prolonged due to neutralizations, the Trackhouse Racing driver succeeded by placing himself outside the peloton to emerge victorious in a three-way drag race.
  • Opposed to Ryan Blaney and Kyle Busch, Daniel Suárez had to wait for the decision of NASCAR officials, forced to scrutinize the photo finish very closely. After analysis, the Latin American was awarded the victory by 0“003! This is the third closest finish in history, the other two being 0 (Jimmie Johnson at Talladega in 002 and Ricky Craven at Darlington in 2011).

  • « It was so tight, explained the person concerned, still overcome with emotion after signing his second victory in the Cup Series, the first since Sonoma in August 2022. It was a very good race. There was Ryan, Kyle… but also Austin Cindric (Penske) which gave good strollers. On the return straight, he didn't push me because he knew I could spoil his teammate's efforts. Wow, what a job! »
