Toyota's arrival in GT3 is only a matter of time, after the Japanese firm unveiled its GR GT3 Concept at the Tokyo Auto Show.

Toyota unveils its GR GT3 Concept at the Tokyo Motor Show

This is a model that you won't find anywhere else! On the occasion of the Tokyo Auto Show, Toyota has unveiled what looks like its future model with the GR GT3 Concept, intended only for the track. The team wishes to invest sustainably under the leadership of Toyota Gazoo Racing (TGR) in motorsport and in this category in particular, by offering its future customers a competitive “driver first” car.

By unveiling the GR GT3 concept, Toyota shows that it will have to be counted on in the years to come. With this ambitious project, the Japanese firm intends “to use feedback and technologies refined through participation in various motorsport activities to develop both GT3 and production cars and promote the manufacturing of ever-higher performance motorsport cars,” as was the case with the Yaris GR.

The Japanese manufacturer also offers the Supra GR in GT4 version, with the brand of the same group, Lexus, currently competing with its RC F GT3 in the championship. IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar, as well as Super GT.
