Everything was planned to make this fourth meeting of the 2023 season in Touraine a great celebration, notably with a recently resurfaced track. Unfortunately, drivers, officials and organizers quickly became disillusioned! The reason: the appearance of a hole in the first turn called into question the safety of the drivers and could cause mechanical breakdowns.

Therefore, the technical teams of the organizer of the Rallycross Touraine-Pont du Ruan worked hard to find a solution, notably trying to plug this famous hole after Q1 on Saturday. All these attempts will remain in vain and the fateful decision will fall many minutes after the cancellation of Q4. The race management of the event announced their decision to stop the meeting before the final stages. The drivers entered will therefore only have competed in two qualifying rounds over the entire weekend. “ With great regret, AFOR, the promoter of the French Championship and the French Rallycross Cup, has no other choice but to take note of this decision by the race management », We could read in the press release issued at the end of this event.

On the other hand, a final classification was still validated, with the allocation of points, after only two qualifying rounds. Despite the interruption of the meeting, the second this season, Davy Jeanney was declared the winner in Supercar. Julien Meunier was at the top of the Super1600 rankings and Andréa Benezet took the top step of the podium in the French Junior Championship. As for the Cups, Mélanie Lefrançois won the women's classification, while Grégory Le Guernevé and Tom Daunat distinguished themselves respectively in Division 3 and Division 4. All the drivers are already looking towards Brittany with the rallycross of Kerlabo scheduled for July 29 and 30.
