Drama was narrowly avoided for Robin Larsson. The pilot of rallycross Swedish rider, winner in June of the first round of the 2022 Nitro Rallycross season on an electric car at Lydden Hill (England), was seriously injured in his workshop on Sunday July 3.
The double European rallycross champion shared his accident on his Instagram account, impressive photos supporting. “This Sunday, I was about to leave, I was alone in the workshop when I had a big accident with the angle grinder which hit me in the throat.
Luckily, I was able to call my friends and family before the ambulance arrived, so they could maintain blood pressure and keep me awake. Forty stitches later, a scar on my neck, I am very happy to be able to count on my friends and my family, and the best friend in the world who has been with me since I was in the hospital! Take care of yourselves all. »
Robin Larsson had missed almost a year and a half of competition following Covid-19. Let's hope that this chilling accident will not disrupt his Nitro Rallycross season.
