Canivenq as leader in the Cévennes

The main competitors in the French Rally Championships meet this weekend to compete in the 52nd Critérium des Cévennes. The crews will set off on Thursday November 5 from Montpellier for three days of competition. In the Drivers' classification, three men are grouped in four points with Guillaume Canivenq (64 points), Emmanuel Guigou (63) and Patrick Henry (60). Of the three drivers, only Manu Guigou has a joker which he will however try not to use in the Cévennes.

« The Critérium being a rally which I really like, I'm leaving quite calm », Explains Guillaume Canivenq, the championship leader. “ Everything will depend on the weather conditions, which I hope are quite good, which will allow me to make the most of the car's potential. But my goal will obviously be to score the most of these points which will be precious to me in the Championship! »

In the Teams Championship, Barroso Yacco will compete at home against the leader, Team GPC Motorsport. These two teams are best equipped to claim victory in the Cévennes. The stakes will be high because only three points separate the two teams. On the Barrosso Yacco side, Canivenq, Maurin, Abadie will try to score as many points as possible against the GPC Motorsport trio: Henry, Robert, Bonato.

A distinguished guest will also be present in the Cévennes in the person of Romain Dumas. The endurance driver will be lined up at the wheel of a Porsche 996GT3.
