That's it, Jean Alesi is officially qualified for the Indianapolis 500. The Avignonnais yesterday successfully completed the third and final phase of the Rookie Orientation Program, which consisted of completing 15 laps at 210 mph or more. If he manages to qualify in the first 33 during the two days of qualifying (May 19 and 20), he will be at the start of the 96th edition on May 27. And given that there are currently only 33 cars registered (and still the Dragon Racing DW12s of Bourdais and Legge still do not have an engine), all lights are currently green. It will also be the first participation of his team, Fan Force United, in this American classic.
