Vergne named ambassador for sustainable development

Jean-Eric Vergne, driver of the Techeetah team, has been named ambassador of the Formula e for sustainable development. The electric discipline thus joins other major events in the world of French sport such as Roland Garros or the candidacy for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

“It is our collective responsibility to make changes in our everyday lives to protect our environment, comments Vergne. The championship helps combat global warming by advancing research into the development of electric vehicles that could resolve pollution in cities.

In addition to the technological innovation represented by all-electric racing, Formula e tends to reduce its energy footprint by favoring local producers for food during weekends and less polluting transport. »
