Death of Claude Haldi

Swiss pilot Claude Haldi has died at the age of 75. Engaged at the start of 24 Hours of Le Mans on 22 occasions between 1968 and 1993, the native of Lausanne however only completed the double round of the Sarthe clock five times, winning the GTX category in 1975 on a Porsche Carrera Turbo, shared with Bernard Beguin and Peter Zbinden.

Claude Haldi also distinguished himself in rally (1979 Swiss champion), in hill racing (1970 European champion in Grand Touring) or in other endurance events (winner of the 1000 km of Spa in 1984 in the GT category, and second in the 24 Hours of Spa in 1969).
