IMSA – Lamborghinis penalized

WeatherTech Sportscar Championship officials announced penalties following the Daytona event, hitting Change Racing, Konrad Motorsport, O?Gara Motorsport and Paul Miller Racing, all entering Lamborghini Huracán GT3s in the GTD class, under the 'Appendix 2, paragraph 2.9 of the sporting regulations IMSA, which stipulates the following rule:

“Competitors and manufacturers are required to provide valid data upon request to assist IMSA in establishing the BoP (Balance of Performance). Any competitor or manufacturer who deliberately gives false information, who attempts to influence the BoP, or displays a level of performance beyond the expected result, may be inflicted with a penalty before, during, or after a race with a minimum stop of five minutes. Penalties imposed after the race are added to the car's final race time and may include a lap penalty. »

The previously mentioned teams received five minutes of sanction, and Lamborghini was fined $25 in addition to the loss of points in the WTSC championship and for the North American Endurance Cup
