The first test session for the Roar Before the Rolex 24, preamble to the 24 Hours of Daytona (Florida), first round of the WeatherTech Sportscar Championship, ended with the best time for the Michael Shank Racing Ligier JS P2 entrusted to the crew Pla – Negri – Pew – Allmendinger, in 1’39″655. The Wayne Taylor Racing Corvette DP of the Taylor brothers, associated with Max Angelelli, follows more than eight tenths ahead of the SMP Racing BR 01-Nissan of Mediani – Minassian – Aleshin – Ladygin. At the wheel of the No. 01 Riley-Ford DP of Chip Ganassi Racing, Lance stroll was the victim of an exit from the track.

In the PC category, the Oreca FLM09 of CORE Autosport of Benett – Braun – Wilkins – Plowman was the fastest while in GTLM, the best time went to the BMW M6 of Team RLL n°100 of Luhr – Edwards – Wittmer – Rahal in 1’45″088. Note that the No. 4 Corvette of Milner – Gavin – Fässler, second, was the victim of a fire. For its first laps, the No. 66 Ford GT of Ford Chip Ganassi Racing of Bourdais – Müller – Hand takes third place.

In GTD, the Porsche 911 GT3 R from Black Swan Racing from Pappas – Catsburg – Long – Pilgrim posted the best performance.
