Ligier European Series – Monza: Henrion and Qarajouli the fastest

La Liger European Series returns to Italy this weekend for its fourth round of the season. After Castellet, Imola and Le Mans, the support series for the European Le Mans Series makes a stopover at Monza. The first qualifying session, the one which designates the grid for the first race on Sunday, saw Gillian Henrion (Team Virage) take a new pole position this season. He beat Nathan Bihel (M Racing) and the Romanian Andrei Vajda (Smart Driving). In JS2 R, the Kuwaiti Haytham Qarajouli (RLR M Sport) set the best time in this Q1.

Despite a red flag, the two strong men of the season once again set the best times in their respective categories in Q2. In JS P4, Henrion beat Vajda by 0.319 seconds and the Italian Simone Riccitelli (LR Motorsport). On the JS P2 side, Qarajouli got the better of Horst Jr Felbermayr (RLR MSport) and Cédric Oltramare (COOL Racing).
