Particularly to their advantage this summer (three consecutive successes) in IMSA, LM P2 will be slowed down following a modification of the Balance of Performance (BoP) announced by the organizers on Friday. Concretely, the LM P2s will be weighed by 10 kilos for the end of the season and their tank capacity will be reduced, going from 75 to 72 liters.

At the same time, the American DPi gains two liters of fuel capacity and the Mazda DPi is 10 kilos lighter. These measures are taken in a context of class separation between Dpi and LM P2 in 2019, which should allow the Dpi to return to the forefront ahead of the European Oreca 07s.
