Toyota Motorsports admitted that it still had not decided on which axle of the TS030 it would put the extra power provided by the hybrid system. If the Japanese prototype benefits from electric traction (and therefore thermal propulsion), the system can only be triggered from 120 km/h. On the other hand, if the system is configured on the rear wheels, the benefit of the hybrid can be activated at any time. However, too much extra power on the rear wheels could be detrimental. The Japanese firm is therefore in the testing phase with both configurations.
