The duel between the Riley-Fords of Chip Ganassi Racing and the Corvette DP of Wayne Taylor Racing continues at Daytona. Currently, as the race is interrupted again due to the No. 7 Starworks Motorsport Riley-BMW DP stopping on the track, Brendon Hartley, it's Scott Dixon who leads the proceedings at the wheel of the No. 02 Riley-Ford ahead of the Corvette DP of Max Angelelli and the No. 01 Corvette DP of Sage Karam.
In GTLM, Augusto Farfus is in the lead in the BMW Z4 of Team RLL ahead of the No. 7 Corvette C3.R of Jan Magnussen. Note that the Porsche #911 returned to the track after its accident with sister car #912. In PC, Core Autosport still dominates with the No. 09 ORECA FLM54 driven by Mark Wilkins. In GTD, Townsend Bell retains control of the Team's No. 458 Ferrari 63 Italia Team Corsa.
