Lewis Hamilton (McLaren), present in Berlin, expressed his satisfaction at seeing Red Bull Racing dominate the World Championship Formula 1 less significantly than in the middle of the season. The Briton believes that Red Bull's drop in performance compared to other teams can be explained by a regulatory readjustment.
« In Hungary, they were one to two seconds faster than everyone else, that was not normal, he explained. For our part, we always respected the rules and wondered if their car was legal. After the FIA visit, Red Bull had to overhaul its car and lost performance. It was a good initiative on the part of the FIA. »
And, indeed, while the Singapore circuit seemed tailor-made for the RB6, it is Ferrari who did the best in the game, Fernando Alonso securing his second consecutive victory.
