Perfect qualifications for Team WRT! The No. 32 Audi, driven by Kelvin van der Linde, Charles Weerts and Dries Vanthoor, was fastest in the three qualifying sessions at Hockenheim. With the three best times, the trio will logically start on pole during the race on Sunday afternoon, with an average time of 1’37″478. The #32 Audi scored its second pole of the season in Endurance Cup, after Imola.

Team WRT beat the Ferrari #71 of the Iron Lynx team (+0″138) and the #63 Lamborghini of the Emil Frey Racing team (+0″273). To find the leaders of the Endurance Cup championship (and winners of the 24 Hours of Spa), you have to go down to 14th place: the Mercedes #88 of Akkodis ASP was unable to compete for pole. Raffaele Marciello, Jules Gounon and Dani Juncadella will have to fight to climb the rankings and maintain the lead in the championship.

In the other categories, it is also a WRT which is on pole among the Silvers, with the No. 30 Audi of Benjamin Goethe, Jean-Baptiste Simmenauer and Thomas Neubauer, (8th overall, +0″430). For the Gold category, it is Porsche No. 911 from the Herberth Motorsport team, driven by Robert Renauer, Ralf Bohn and Alfred Renauer who was the fastest (18th overall, +0″749). Finally, in the Pro-Am, the McLaren n°188 of Garage 59, from the crew Alexander West – Miguel Ramos – Henrique Chaves, will start at the head of the category (25th overall, +0″949).

The start of the 4th round of the Endurance Cup will be given at 15 p.m. for the 3-hour race in Hockenheim. The live video will be available on AUTOhebdo.
