After having signed two scratches in a row, Julien Maurin (Ford Fiesta WRC) took the lead Rally Mont-Blanc Morzine with a lead of 15 seconds over the Citroën C4 WRC of Jean-Marie Cuoq. Eric Brunson completes the provisional podium in his Subaru Impreza WRC, nine seconds behind the reigning champion. Pierre Roché (Mini Countryman WRC) remains in contact with the leaders with less than eight seconds behind the top three. Gilles Nantet (Porsche 997 GT3 Cup), first leader of the event, completes the top five ahead of the Peugeot 307 WRC of Lionel Baud and the 207 S2000 of Frédéric Comte.
