Kenya – SS18: New best time for Loeb, ahead of Ogier

Second consecutive best time for Sébastien Loeb this Sunday. The Alsatian was the fastest during SS18 of the Safari Rally Kenya (Narasha 2, 13,30 km) with a time of 6'59″2. The pilot M-Sport outstripped his compatriot Sébastien Ogier 2″4 ahead. Two others Toyota complete the top 4: Takamoto Katsuta (3rd, +6″3) and Elfyn Evans (4th, +9″1).

Adrien fourmaux arrived 7th (+18″3), but the Northerner suffered a puncture at the end of the special. Oliver Solberg was unable to reach the finish due to a loss of power on his Hyundai i20. Sébastien Loeb therefore moves up to 8th place in the general classification.

Kalle Rovanperä (6th, +13″8) is still comfortably leading the rally, with 57″6 seconds ahead of Evans before the Power Stage (Hell’s Gate 2, 10,53 km), scheduled for 13:18 p.m.
