Second consecutive best time for Sébastien Loeb this Sunday. The Alsatian was the fastest during SS18 of the Safari Rally Kenya (Narasha 2, 13,30 km) with a time of 6'59″2. The pilot M-Sport outstripped his compatriot Sébastien Ogier 2″4 ahead. Two others Toyota complete the top 4: Takamoto Katsuta (3rd, +6″3) and Elfyn Evans (4th, +9″1).
Adrien fourmaux arrived 7th (+18″3), but the Northerner suffered a puncture at the end of the special. Oliver Solberg was unable to reach the finish due to a loss of power on his Hyundai i20. Sébastien Loeb therefore moves up to 8th place in the general classification.
Kalle Rovanperä (6th, +13″8) is still comfortably leading the rally, with 57″6 seconds ahead of Evans before the Power Stage (Hell’s Gate 2, 10,53 km), scheduled for 13:18 p.m.
