Contrary to what was previously announced by the FFSA, Jean-Marie Cuoq (Citroën C4 WRC) is well in the part at Rally Lyon-Charbonnières. Better still, the reigning champion takes the lead of the event two seconds ahead of Julien Maurin (Ford Fiesta WRC). Following the confirmed retirement of Dany Snobeck (Impreza WRC) following a road trip, Lionel Baud (Peugeot 307 WRC) completes the provisional podium 20 seconds from the head of the race, David Salanon (C4 WRC) and Eric Brunson (Impreza WRC) complete the top five. The Le Touquet winner fell down the standings after suffering a broken wiper blade on wet roads.

Jean-Charles Beaubelique (Focus WRC) is sixth ahead of Ludov Gal (Peugeot 207 S2000) and Patrick Rouillard who is leading the Michelin Trophy on his Porsche 997 Cup. Cédric Robert is still leader in the Citroën Racing Trophy while Yoann Bonato dominates the Opel Adam Cup.
