You were thinking of the Citroën C3 WRC a little too wise, despite its aerodynamic deflectors and its large rear wing? So you will surely be delighted to see a new aero evolution dispatched during tests in Catalonia (Spain) in preparation for the rally eponymous (October 24-27).
For three days, the holders Sébastien Ogier, Esapekka Lappi and test driver Éric Camilli tried out a new shield and rear wing. The inspiration of the Toyota Yaris WRC is obvious, with large parts on the front bumper and fins arranged on the front wheel arches, as shown in two videos published by “Sudrallye” and “Zagatoi” on YouTube:
The French team has not communicated about this spectacular development, attempted to compensate for a lack of efficiency and support from the front axle.
It is also impossible to know if this kit will be used from the Rally de Catalunya, but time is running out if Sébastien Ogier wants to regain the lead of the championship at a Ott Tänak (Toyota). The latter has a 28-point lead with two rounds remaining in the 2019 season.
