Imperial Ogier at Rally Mexico

Sébastien Ogier (Citroën) managed its lead to win in the Rally from Mexico. It’s an event appreciated by the six-time champion WRC who has now won five times and for the second time in a row, signing his 46th WRC victory.

Le Français s’est en prime offert la victoire dans la Power Stage pour un dixième d’avance sur Kris Meeke (Toyota). Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) a suivi à 6 dixièmes devant son coéquipier Dani Sordo et Esapekka Lappi (Citroën) qui a privé Ott Tänak (Toyota) with a bonus point for 8 tenths ahead.

La lutte s’est concentrée sur la deuxième place dans la dernière étape de l’épreuve. Elfyn Evans (M-Sport) a cédé face à Ott Tänak en terminant à 20 secondes de l’Estonien. Thierry Neuville et Kris Meeke ont complété le Top 5 devant Benito Guerra Jr (Skoda), vainqueur du WRC 2 devant Marco Bulacia Wilkinson (Skoda). Ce dernier a repris Jari-Matti Latvala (Toyota) dans l’ultime parcours pour 4 secondes, le Finlandais ayant endommagé son radiateur dans la spéciale précédente. Dani Sordo (Hyundai) a pris la 9e place tandis que son coéquipier Andreas Mikkelsen a fini au pied du Top 10.

Ott Tänak retains the lead in the Championship with 4 points ahead of Sébastien Ogier. Thierry Neuville follows with 10 units behind the leader, preceding Kris Meeke and Elfyn Evans. Toyota consolidates its leading position in the Manufacturers' Championship with an 8-point lead over Citroën, which is now ahead of Hyundai by one point. M-Sport is 43 points behind the Japanese manufacturer.

The WRC will resume its rights at the Tour de Corse on the weekend of March 31.
