At the center of rumors for a seat in Formula 1, Nico Hulkenberg lives his role as a reservist to the fullest. Third driver of the team Aston Martin, present at the first two Grands Prix of the season replacing Sebastian Vettel, the German does not remain inactive however. The 181 Grands Prix driver also helps with the development of Aston Martin products and in particular its Hypercar, the Valkyrie. On Tuesday, Hülkenberg was present at the Silverstone circuit (Great Britain) to carry out tests with the “racing” version of the Valkyrie, the AMR Pro.

The Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR Pro had to be the road version of the Hypercar which should have participated in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, before the suspension for the termination of the project by the British brand. The car, which looks like a competition prototype, is equipped with a 12l naturally aspirated V6,5 engine which can develop 1013 hp and can reach 11 rpm. This “everyday F000” was developed by Nico Hülkenberg but also by the regular drivers of the Aston Martin team, Sebastian Vettel and Lance stroll. Limited to 40 units worldwide, the first AMR Pros were delivered at the end of 2021 with a price of around 2,9 million euros.

They must be really itching to reactivate the Hypercar program! Except that after the nasty blow dealt to the ACO/FIA (Obtaining the concessions that are going well to come and finally cancel everything) I don't think they are impatiently awaited, and that's good and above all well done for the Canadian puppet, the main shareholder of Aston Martin.
