The first “road” Hypercar by Glickenhaus sold for 2,7 million euros

Glickenhaus has announced the start of production of its road-legal Hypercar, the 007S, based on the racing version entered in the WEC. The first model was sold for almost 2,7 million euros.

Have you ever dreamed of driving a road-legal version of a car from the 24 Hours of Le Mans ? Thanks to Glickenhaus, your wishes can come true! Planned for several months, the “road” Hypercar project desired by the American manufacturer is coming to fruition. On Twitter, Glickenhaus gave some news on the production of its future model, the 007S. 

Glickenhaus has detailed the first technical characteristics of its future road-legal Hypercar. Taking up the stylistic codes as well as the chassis of the 007LMH entered in the World ChampionshipEndurance, the Glickenhaus 007S will be a three-seater car (one at the front and two at the rear, like the McLaren F1 For example). It will be powered by a turbocharged V8 engine developing around 1000 horsepower, for a curb weight of 1270 kg.

The American manufacturer also specifies that the first model has already been sold, at a price of 2,9 million dollars (or 2,67 million euros). In total, 24 copies will be put on sale. Delivery should begin two years after the 24 orders are placed. 

As a reminder, Glickenhaus has been present in the World Endurance Championship since the introduction of the Hypercar class in 2021. Jim Glickenhaus' team managed to obtain a podium during the 24 2022 Hours of Le Mans, with a 3rd place at stake. The American team will be back in the WEC this year with one car, with potentially two Hypercars at Le Mans.
