Here you are, a full-time company director after having been one of the most versatile pilots of recent decades. How do you view this journey?
At the gates of F1, I quickly saw that my horizon was blocked and that my future required diversification. I realized that the more versatile I was, the more likely I would be to last. After my title in F2 British in 1992, I had the opportunity to become a BMW Touring driver at Oreca with Hugues de Chaunac. My choice was made quickly, in no way out of spite, because it offered me the possibility of becoming a professional. The future proved me right.
