The firm with the A arrow has lifted the veil on the identity of three people who will take on key roles in the company.

New blood at Alpine

If you still doubted the ambitions ofAlpine, the latest recruits should convince you otherwise.

The first, who has held the position of Vice President of Sales & Marketing of the brand since April 1, is Cédric Journel. He will also sit on the Management Committee, alongside François Pierrard, who took office on May 1, and who was appointed Director of Strategy and Business Development of the Business Unit Alpine.

Finally, the third man is David Gendry, who has agreed to take on the role of marketing-communications director, and who reports to Cédric Journel.

Born in 1973, Cedric Journal holds an MBA from HEC Paris. After different experiences within the world of motorsport and F1, he joined Honda Motors as an automotive network developer. In 2000, he joined the Volkswagen Group. First in France where he held various positions in Sales, Marketing and network development including fleet sales management and completed his experience in France as Marketing Director of Skoda.  
In 2011, Cédric Journel joined the headquarters of the Volkswagen Group where he took charge of international communications. The following year, he was appointed Vice President of Marketing, Product and Strategy China within FAW-VW. In 2016, he was promoted to general manager of the Audi brand in Korea. Since 2019, Cédric Journel has been general manager of Volkswagen Import China. 

As part of the Renaulution, the rise of the brand Alpine and the integration of all motorsport activity within the brand, Cédric Journel will also be responsible for developing revenues linked to motorsport.

Born in 1992, François Pierrard holds a Master of Science in Management from ESSEC. In 2017, he joined the strategy consulting firm McKinsey & Company. He participates in numerous missions for French and international industrial and technological players: definition of strategic plans, mergers & acquisitions, restructuring plans, digital transformation, etc. In 2020, he joined Renault Goup within the Strategy and Business Development Department and joins the team dedicated to the Renaulution plan. 

François Pierrard will be responsible for developing the roadmap for the entity Alpine and develop growth levers.

Born in 1976, David Gendry holds a master's degree in business law and taxation from the University of Aix en Provence. In 2000, he began his career as a business lawyer within the PSA Peugeot Citroën Group. In 2003, he joined the Commerce function and was appointed Marketing and Communication Director of Peugeot Sport. In 2009, he became director of sales and marketing for Peugeot in the Czech Republic. 

In 2012, David Gendry joined the Volkswagen Group France teams as Marketing Director Seat France. In 2016, he was appointed global digital director of Seat in Spain. In 2018, he joined China as Vice President of Sales and Marketing for one of the Volkswagen Group's Joint Ventures. Since 2020, David GENDRY has been general manager of the Seat and Cupra brands in Portugal. 

David Gendry will be responsible for defining the brand's overall marketing strategy. Alpine in particular by managing the deployment of product and motorsport marketing activities.
