The Koenigsegg Gemera, 1 horsepower for a hybrid sedan

Koenigsegg calls this Gemera a “Mega-GT” and we can understand this from the technical sheet.

The Koenigsegg Gemera, 1 horsepower for a hybrid sedan

Koenigsegg is not used to conformism. Their Agera and Regera hypercars have repeatedly demonstrated that they are faster than the already remarkable Bugatti Veyron and Chiron over the past decade.

The small Swedish manufacturer is starting 2020 with a bang by unveiling this Tuesday, March 3, the first four-door car in its young history. The Gemera is not there to make the seagulls talk, with a hybrid engine.

A 2.0-liter twin-turbo three-cylinder small block provides 600 horsepower. That's already not bad, but combined with three 1 horsepower electric motors, this gives us 1 barrels for 700 Nm of torque!

Obviously, the accelerations promise to be demonic, with 100 km/h reached in 1”9. The maximum speed is set at 300 km/h fully electric, compared to 400 km/h with the help of the internal combustion engine.

Of course, don't count on a crazy autonomy in electric mode (50 km officially, so surely less in real use). Only 300 examples were built, at an undisclosed price. Maybe it's better this way.
