The Porsche 917 in the spotlight at the Goodwood Member's Meeting

Porsche l’avait annoncé : 2019 sera l’année d’a big celebration of the 50th anniversary of one of its legendary racing models: the 917.

The car will be at the heart of several events, including the Goodwood Member's Meeting this weekend at the historic English complex.

Four rolling models will be there from today on the other side of the Channel, with the very first chassis 001, barely restored, the 917/30-001, and the 917 KH (the short-tail in its legendary Gulf livery) and 917/30 Spyder, decked out in Sunoco colors.

Richard Attwood, Neel Jani and Mark Webber, all having taken part in the Porsche adventure in Endurance (Attwood and Jani having notably won the 24 Hours of Le Mans, will drive the 917, which will immediately take over the management of the Porsche Museum.
